procrastination…?

by questions - Time Management - September 30, 2009

At my school they just pile the homework like crazy on long weekends….and I haven’t done any homework! I’m in 8th grade and this is what I have:

-A synopsis for every chapter (10) in Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde
-Religion essay
-Huge history test on Canadian Wars that I really need to study for because this is a retake (I failed last time; studied the wrong things)
-Spanish Test on everything we’ve learned in Spanish class from 6th-8th Grade.
-I have to give an oral report on the education and health care of Canada on Tuesday.

Like I said, I’m in 8th grade. I think ll the teachers team up. Like every single teacher figures you won’t have a lot of homework so gives you a huge project.

I know I just spent 4evar typing this but if I could get a few good procrastination tips I might save some time in the future or maybe even right now. thxsies!
o yeah, I forgot to put in there, 3 problem sets for algebra 2 (90 problems total. A bunch of them are painful word problems)

I procrastinate ALL THE TIME, but recently I’ve realized that it’s just better to get whatever you have to do over with because you’ll still have to do the assignment–even though not doing it at first means you aren’t doing it right then, you’ll eventually have to do it, so you might as well do it when you have time. I still procrastinate occasionally but I’m sort of getting over it. It really does help though, to get things done earlier, because you’ll be less stressed out.

I have that problem of procrastination also in my adult hood.

What works for me is I say… today my goal is this.
Then I say to myself. Focus Focus Focus… usually works.
