The use of hypnosis for children is starting to be a common method in dealing with children who are having difficulties in advancing into adulthood. Aside from using hypnosis to deal with different behavioural and health problems, hypnosis parenting or using hypnosis with your children at home is also starting to get known.

Hypnosis parenting, experts claim, is a method o positive parenting. What are ideas behind this parenting and how do they work?

Hypnosis is not ordering or becoming authoritative to other people. This is something that we should understand and be clear about. Hypnosis, unlike what we commonly know, is not about making people do something which they would not remember or stop doing. Hypnosis is about suggestions.

Experts said that our children are already suggestible from their parents. Almost all parents are familiar with their baby’s emotions and facial expressions. Actually, if we smile in a baby and make eye contact it is highly possible that would be smiling back. Children learn from the parents through the parents’ actions and expressions. If a parent want to teach something to their children, it is important to show an example that we are also following these rules that were set out for them.

Hypnosis parenting is not only applicable when you want your children to do their homework or do household chores. You can only use hypnosis to help them with difficulty in sleeping or nervousness and tension before exams, school presentation or a game.

How to do this?

You can start by talking to them before they go to sleep. Make sure that they are comfortable and make them close their eyes. You could start telling a story which would show the protagonist succeeding in the challenges that he faced. Use positive images when telling a story. This would help your child ease the tension. Aside from helping your child ease out the tension, the parent and the child also got the chance to spent some bonding moment together.

What the parent say have an impact on how children feel about themselves. An example would be the behaviour they show. If the child is refuses to follow certain rules in the house, and you get a heated discussion over it, more probably that the child would still be the same.

You could replace the heated discussion with random positive statements, like saying that the child are improving much on their behaviour and acknowledging their efforts to behave. The child will feel better and eventually will believe that he is indeed behaving well. Soon enough, the child will change his behaviour for the better.

These simple suggestions helped the children’s mind or its subconscious to accept and believe in them. So if the statements made or the statements that a child can hear are all negative, the subconscious would believe it and the child will follow it in real life.

But if positive statements are heard by the child, even if they are randomly dropped statements, the subconscious perceive this as the truth and would eventually translate into their actions.

Hypnosis for children can even be used in encouraging them to do household chores. All you want to do is look at them straight into the eyes and ask them to do the household chores. A little bobbing of the head, would encourage your child to agree to do the job delegated to them.

conversational hypnosis can be learned by listening to simple hypnosis audios teachings with an instruction manual.

Life is full of ups and downs and sometimes has a few sideways thrown in too. When things go wrong or don’t go as planned, or when something happens to throw us off balance and doubt ourselves it can be tough to deal with. After all, we all want things to go well and to end up as ‘winners’. But life will always throw challenges at us, and we can’t control everything. Nor should we try. It’s not what happens to you but what you do with what happens to you that makes the difference. Here are three easy ways that you can always come out on top.

1. Focus on Your Strengths

We’re a bunch of contradictions – sorry to break it to you. Sometimes happy, sometimes sad; sometimes hopeful, sometimes pessimistic; sometimes childish and sometimes mature. We also have a whole load of strengths and weaknesses that affect what we do and how we do it, but tend to put more focus on our weaknesses and not our strengths.

A strength is something that you do consistently well or at a near-perfect level of performance – it’s something you’re just able to do, you’re hard-wired to do it well and you get an inherent satisfaction from doing it. It could be tackling and solving complex problems, empathising with people, having a lively imagination or being able to make the perfect omelette.

Focusing on what you do well rather than what you’re not so good at makes all kinds of sense. When you look at what you’re not good at you feel bad about yourself and your ability, but when you focus on and play to your strengths you’re guaranteed to get results, and can even eliminate any negative effect your weaknesses might have.

There was a guy I worked with who hated public speaking and recognised that it was one of his weaknesses. He worked as an advertising executive and as he climbed the ladder he found he had to do more and more presentations – he’d stutter, freeze, forget his point and not perform at his best at all. But when we focused on his strengths we found that he had amazing social skills, an ability to establish great rapport with people in no time at all and had a fantastic sense of humour. Using those strengths he was able to connect easily with each person in his audience, enjoy himself a whole lot more and to deliver presentations that had fun, humour and warmth in them. He used his strengths to overwhelm his weaknesses and went from strength to strength himself.

2. Set Things Up Ahead Of Time

Sure, there will be times when you can just head into something, do brilliantly at it and get the result you were hoping for (normally if you’re playing to your strengths), but other times you might blunder forwards, wing it and not get the result you wanted. Whatever challenges or opportunities you’re facing you’ll stand a much better chance of getting a great result if you set things up to succeed ahead of time.

So what exactly do you want to happen? What solution, outcome or result would be great? Get really clear on the outcome you want from what’s facing you and how it would feel to get the outcome you’re looking for. Then start breaking it down – what can you do to set things up so that your desired outcome happens? What needs to be put in place? What will help to make what you want to happen, happen? And to ensure the best outcome, what are you willing to do?

Whatever faces you, it’s possible to get the result you want by being crystal clear about the kind of result you want and by putting effort into setting things up so that it happens. Look at this way – you’re infinitely more likely to get your most wanted result by putting time or effort into setting things up ahead of time than if you don’t. Your choice.

3. There’s No Such Thing as Losing Anyway

What’s life all about, really? Getting a good job, getting married, feeling valued, having fun? It’s about different things to different people, but to boil it down I think it’s about doing the best we can to have, do and be the best for ourselves and those we care about. Sometimes it’s a struggle and sometimes it’s a joy, but what is constant through it all is our capacity to learn, develop and grow. Humans have an unparalleled ability to learn and adapt, which is exactly why we’re able to do the best we can and find ways to have, do and be more.

That’s why everything you do takes you one step forwards and it’s only by doing one thing, then another and another that the most astounding things in our world came about. As Thomas Edison said while he was on his 207th prototype for the electric light bulb – ‘I am not discouraged, because every wrong attempt discarded is another step forward.’ He’s absolutely right – everything you do that doesn’t work out is another tick in another box and another step forwards, because you know one more way not to do something and what not to do next time. You’ll never get to 100% without going from 1% to 99% first.

In all that you do, whether it turns out how you wanted it to or not, there’s the capacity for learning. That means that it’s all part of the process and everything that you do and learn is an important step forwards.

There’s no such thing as losing, only learning and growing. So here’s to your continued success!”

Learn new language is one of personal development.

It has been demonstrated that the person who would mainly shape your achievement is your own self. Your point of view determines how you would view and reply to challenges or troubles. As a result, it is very imperative that you have a positive standpoint when dealing with things.

This is a method to make certain that you run the reigns over every part of your life.

Understand Your Subconscious Mind

All in all, you would distinguish if you are a positive thinker by taking note of the words that you make use of when you are asked to portray the things that are going on in your life. What would you use to describe your profession or your marriage? The vocabulary that you utilize will show how you tend to think – whether you see the glass half full or half empty, in a manner of speaking.

It has been said that the secret to happiness is how you observe things. If you look at the glass as half full, you’d forever have the gift of hope, dedication and happiness.

This is incredibly vital mainly since you’d always be dealing with crisis, challenges and difficulties. By having the capacity to look at things positively, you would be able to focus on solutions more readily than on problems. This, in turn, will help you face life’s challenges with more easiness. Do not consider life’s difficulties as troubles, but rather as mere challenges that you can rise above and, in the procedure, make sure that you do not lose vision of your goals.

Achieve Mind Power Through Positive Thoughts

Your odds of success are influenced by how you look at things and how you see life. The way you think – positive or negative – is genuinely powerful. Do you know that there’s scientific evidence that says negative thinkers are much more likely to get physically ill than positive thinkers? If your point of view is powerful enough to make you ill, without doubt it is potent enough to affect your likelihood of success?

Whilst you think positively in relation to the things in your life, you are empowered to take action. Negativity by and large paralyzes your faculties of thinking and action. When you believe that problems cannot derail you and if you believe that success can be yours, then you will acquire the might to see your plans through and to reach your goals.

You won’t be paralyzed by indecision, fears and despair. To be more precise, you will be overflowing with vigor and you’ll be raring for action.

Your positive attitude should also award you social influence. If you are a person who remains unfazed even in the face of adversities, you’re a person people would plan to be with and talk to. You’re a person other people are likely to follow.

Do You Have Positive Power?

So, how do you react to life’s adversities? Do you view yourself as a positive person or not? How do you react to things when they are not going well? Do you recognize that it is inevitable that you’d encounter problems along the way or do you allow these problems to get the best of you?

Talk to yourself sometimes. Look at yourself in the mirror and talk yourself into being optimistic. Strive to advance your own self confidence and strengthen your self esteem. Discover how to be constructive and positive when dealing with things. You would eventually notice that things appear to work out the way you want them to.

You gain control of your emotions and actions and these actions would lead to positive results.

Students in different schools are faced with challenges. They are faced with challenges that test their potential and capabilities to the maximum.

In order for the students to face all these challenges, they must acquire the skills needed that will make things easier for them. These will ensure that they do not succumb to defeat once the going gets tough. One of the most important skills they should learn is time management.

Proper time management is the ability to manage time successfully. It includes prioritization, scheduling and setting of goals, organization and utilization of things available, avoidance, decision making, knowledge and many others. Time management is quite hard to do because it entails proper preparations and adjustment.

Effective and proper time management of students offers and provides benefits. The following are some of the benefits they can get from time management.

• Students practicing effective and proper time management can get more of quality time. There are things that students set aside as unimportant in order to make the most of their time. But they do not know that these are vital things. Take eating, for example.

Eating is a significant part of everyone. People need to eat properly and on time to maintain their strength. It is part of the total time spending. With effective and proper time management, you can learn how to organize your time effectively so that you get to enjoy your meals in their proper time.

• Not setting tasks for later. The undone things that you think you should be doing or should have done gives you burden because of the subconscious guilt. Incorporating proper and effective time management teaches you overcome procrastination and it also teaches you how to prioritize things.

You will feel more confident when you know that there are no unfinished task burdening you while you are doing other things. You can work better and achieve more once your conscience is clear of worries.

• Students with effective and proper time management have less frustrations. Effective planning and organization techniques are aspects of time management. This will ensure that you will not face anymore frustrating situations. Overcoming frustration makes it easier to release the full power of creativity and productivity of a person.

• Time management increases your energy level. Many of your undone things circulates in your mind. The tendency is for you to think about them when you could have been doing your other tasks. Proper and effective time management teaches you how to be organized and how to unclutter your mind from the energy drains of unhandled things or the so- called ‘unfinished businesses’. With this, you can have and experience a higher energy level that you have never experienced.

• With effective and proper time management, you can get a sense of achievement and piece of mind. If you are not sure if where you are going, you will feel anxiety and dissatisfactions. One aspect of effective and proper time management is setting goals smartly. This technique teaches and helps you realize where you are going and to see the optimal path that you want. And these gives you piece of mind and sense of achievement.

Before you can feel the benefits of effective and proper time management, you should practice effective and proper time management first. The following are some of the things that should be done in time management.

1. Set your goals. You should determine exactly the things that you really want to accomplish. Set goals that achievable and realistic.

2. Know when you are most productive. Knowing the time you are most productive attacks you to do more things and exert more effort.

3. Avoid procrastination. Make use of your time wisely and effectively. Remember the saying ‘time is gold’.

4. Know how to organize. Knowledge on proper organization help you achieve and attain the goals you have set in a timely manner.

5. Know how to prioritize. Prioritization of things is very important. It is the key to effective time management.

Students’ dedication in practicing time management is also important. Without dedication, all their time management skills will result to nothing. It is as if they never had them in the first place.

College years cannot be forgotten easily. Why? Because it is one of the hardest and the toughest stage in a person’s life. It entails lots of preparations and adjustments.

College life is full of challenges. College students are faced of mountainous confrontations and obstacles that must be faced. These students must work hard to prove not only to themselves but to other people that they are worthy of getting into college and finishing successfully.

To do and accomplish all the challenges and dares that are facing the college students, proper time management is necessary. College student should know how to manage time properly and how to consume time for worthy things.

The ability to manage and schedule time wisely makes college life easier. Missing important deadlines and appointments may cause difficulty and complications to both the academic and social life of the student. These things can also result to guilt, anxiety, stress, frustrations and other negative feelings.

The following are some of the tips for college students on how to manage time their time successfully.

• Learn how to prioritize. Prioritization is one of the most important aspects of time management. Proper prioritization of engagements and responsibilities is very necessary. There are too many college students that are ignorant and do not know how to set prioritization. This can often lead to procrastinations.

• Make use of ‘to do list’. This does not necessarily mean making a schedule. This is only listing the things that are important to be done. List things according to their importance.

• Stop being a perfectionist. Nothing is perfect. God created no perfect things and individuals. When you try to be perfect, you are only setting your self up for defeat. Many difficult and hard tasks lead to avoidance and procrastinations.

• Set goals. Setting goal is good in managing the time of college students. You should set goals that are not only attainable but should also be challenging.

• Try to combine several activities. Trying to combine many several activities in one sitting. Example of these are the following:

when watching a sit-com, try to compute your bills in between commercials; when taking a shower, list in your mind the things that are needed to be done; while you are commuting on the way to school, listen to taped notes. These things can save you some of your time that could have been set aside for other things.

• Survey your personal time. Making personal time survey help in estimating how much time is consumed and spent in many typical activities. This is very important if you are wanting to manage your time properly. Do these by tracking the time you spent for a day or a week. This gives you an idea on how much time you are consuming in different activities and things. This will also allow you to realize and identify the time wasters.

• Make a daily schedule to be followed. There are many different styles of time schedules that you can use. Try to make use of the time schedule that can fit into your personality. The common styles of time scheduling are through engagement books, cards, a piece of poster board tacked to a wall and many other styles. Once you are know what style to use, construct it soon. Put in the time schedule all the things that are necessary, including your personal needs.

• Take some notes and review them before the end of the day. This will help identify the things that you have done properly and the things that you have failed to do. This can help you develop proper time management skills.

• You should learn how to say no. There is nothing wrong in saying no in some instances and cases. For example, somebody invited you to watch a movie at a time when you have got something to do. Leave out the movie and prioritize your task. You can do that later on.

Learning proper time management for college students is very important. Learning these things early on will prepare them for the life that lay ahead of them. These will be their tool in achieving the life they are dreaming of.

At first glance, it would seem that positive thinking and Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD) have nothing to do with one another. But many of us with ADD develop negative thinking patterns because we become defeated by our challenges and frequent feelings of being overwhelmed. This negative outlook then makes it even harder for us to manage those challenges and move forward.

Practicing positive thinking allows folks with ADD to focus on our strengths and accomplishments, which increases happiness and motivation. This, in turn, allows us to spend more time making progress, and less time feeling down and stuck. The following tips provide practical suggestions that you can use to help you shift into more positive thinking patterns:

1. Take Good Care of Yourself
It’s much easier to be positive when you are eating well, exercising, and getting enough rest.

2. Remind Yourself of the Things You Are Grateful For
Stresses and challenges don’t seem quite as bad when you are constantly reminding yourself of the things that are right in life. Taking just 60 seconds a day to stop and appreciate the good things will make a huge difference.

3. Look for the Proof Instead of Making Assumptions
A fear of not being liked or accepted sometimes leads us to assume that we know what others are thinking, but our fears are usually not reality. If you have a fear that a friend or family member’s bad mood is because of something you did, or that your co-workers are secretly gossiping about you when you turn your back, speak up and ask them. Don’t waste time worrying that you did something wrong unless you have proof that there is something to worry about.

4. Refrain from Using Absolutes
Have you ever told a partner “You’re ALWAYS late!” or complained to a friend “You NEVER call me!”? Thinking and speaking in absolutes like ‘always’ and ‘never’ makes the situation seem worse than it is, and programs your brain into believing that certain human beings are incapable of delivering.

5. Detach From Negative Thoughts
Your thoughts can’t hold any power over you if you don’t judge them. If you notice yourself having a negative thought, detach from it, witness it, and don’t follow it.

6. Squash the “ANTs”
In his book “Change Your Brain, Change Your Life,” Dr. Daniel Amen talks about “ANTs” – Automatic Negative Thoughts. These are the bad thoughts that are usually reactionary, like “Those folks are laughing, they must be talking about me,” or “The boss wants to see me? It must be bad!” When you notice these thoughts, realize that they are nothing more than ANTs and squash them!

7. Practice Lovin’, Touchin’ & Squeezin’ (Your Friends and Family)
You don’t have to be an expert to know the rewards of a good hug. Positive physical contact with friends, loved ones, and even pets, is an instant pick-me-up. One research study on this subject had a waitress touch some of her customers on the arm as she handed them their checks. She received higher tips from these customers than from the ones she didn’t touch!

8. Increase Your Social Activity
By increasing social activity, you decrease loneliness. Surround yourself with healthy, happy human beings, and their positive energy will affect you in a positive way!

9. Volunteer for an Organization, or assist another Person
Everyone feels good after helping. You can volunteer your time, your money, or your resources. The more positive energy you put out into the world, the more you will receive in return.

10. Use Pattern Interrupts to Combat Rumination
If you find yourself ruminating, a great way to stop it is to interrupt the pattern and force yourself to do something completely different. Rumination is like hyper-focus on something negative. It’s never productive, because it’s not rational or solution-oriented, it’s just excessive worry. Try changing your physical environment – go for a walk or sit outside. You could also call a friend, pick up a book, or turn on some music.

When it comes to the corporate world, protocol is pretty much the religion. To know the things needed to do are the basics of productivity, but interaction and having a steady mind makes up the entire thing to true productivity. There are those who seem to work well even under pressure, but they’re uncommon ones and we are human and imperfect. To get these little things like stress under our skins won’t solve our complications. Sometimes it takes a bit of courage to admit that we’re turning to be workaholics than tell ourselves that we’re not doing our best.
