The intensity of any relationship is based on the emotional quotient the individuals have towards each other. Emotional quotient popularly known as EQ is as important as IQ. Consider a anecdote in which the parents and their single child was drowning in the flood and they had a chance for only one person to escape. It is the emotional quotient of the parents that has saved the child from the flood. The amount of the quotient has overcome the very feeling of the death and it was an easy decision for the parents to save the child. EQ plays a key role in changing the direction of your life. Emotions can even be attached to non-living things such as ones passion for work, sport and commitments in general. The greater this value, easier it is to step forward.

Different culture exhibit different ways to show their love and respect towards a person. Ultimately it leads to only one conclusion which is building relationships. Emotional Quotient is required at a number of places and can be analyzed at different situations. Let us consider few of the scenarios to explain the importance of this element in our daily life.

Customer service: The basic definition of customer service is to serve the needs of the customer in a better way. Addressing their concerns in a polite manner and making them feel that “you care” is the must. When a problem is stated by the customer, the agent has to empathize the problem and think of how to solve it. Only with the help of the empathy this service can be rendered in a better manner. Our mind would automatically search for a bunch of results for the problem stated and choose the best one out of intuition.

In relationships, EQ plays a deciding factor. The basic and the simplest rule of having any relationship straight and without conflict is to built exact amount of EQ towards that person. And how to build EQ? Very simple. Just like how one should work on their intelligence for increasing their IQ, one would work on the emotions as well. In this competitive world its difficult to give quantity time but giving quality time is possible. Giving surprises, gifts, sweet talk over the phone, pictures and capturing of memories and cherishing them are few examples of the quality time which can help build emotional quotient leading to a good, clean and conflict free relationship. In relationships, EQ plays a deciding factor.

The world today requires us to make many critical decisions regarding personal and professional life, in a day. A businessman needs to make quick and efficient decisions about the company he leads. An investor needs to make decisions as to what firm is best to invest in at the given day and time. These are only a couple of examples of the kinds of quick decisions people sometimes need to make.

There was a time when people were told by their superiors that when you make such important decisions in life you need to leave your emotions out of the thought process. People were encouraged to think mechanically if you may, and let numbers and equations be the only factors that affect their decision.

However, a study on the past success of businessmen shows that it was that group of people who did best in life who took their emotions into account when making critical decisions. Thus we see the need to study this phenomenon called emotional intelligence or EQ.

Successful people are those that are able to deal well with their own emotions and who are able to recognize the emotions of others around them as well.

Since it is not possible to remove emotions from your life, you would do better to deal with them rather than try and suppress them. Suppressed emotions can only result in frustrated feelings. Even in business deals, you need to keep in mind that it is in fact people who are behind the work flow. When you understand people better you will be able to deal with them better, and therefore get a better work result out of them.

Every body knows that making the right contacts is a big part of being a successful businessman. When your social skills are right, you make contacts easily, and you social skills depend on your understanding of people’s emotions. No one wants to stay in touch with a rude or manner less person. Here we see emotional intelligence at work yet again. When we have a good level of EQ, we understand our own selves much better and therefore are at peace with our inner self as well as with other people around us.

Also, when you have the right balance of emotional intelligence understanding, you can handle stress like never before. Rather than get frustrated at situations beyond our control, we will begin to see on the brighter side of things always, and that is a healthy attitude that can only do you good in the long run.

Any way you look at it, you cannot run away from your emotions. Rather if you tried to harness the energy they create for a positive impact on your life, you will see life become better by the day.

Emotional intelligence constitutes one particular side of your personality. It revolves around you being yourself. Specialist concur that with the exception of your intellectual quotient, how well you do in the future is considerably determined by emotional quotient. It is true that we arrive at our conclusions by means of our intellect. This is precisely what we avail of in cranial analysis as well as for retaining information critical to generating the answers with regard to the circumstances that we confront.

Since a long time, a vast majority believed that IQ was the sole factor, which tends to give us directions in life.

At one time, people did not take into account that emotions played a major role in giving rise to vital decisions. In addition, they have looked upon emotions as a nuisance that prevents us from enjoying life to the fullest. Emotions were often deemed as irritants that hindered right thinking.

But, the passage of time necessitated that we modify our opinions and persons were born to pass on our perspective. One such person is the precursor of emotional intelligence, Daniel Goleman, a psychologist and writer.

We are continuously carrying on a conversation with the person seated close by. During this process of interface, a whole host of skills is required to ascertain if it is effective or unfavorable to the concerned person. We require thorough analysis, social skills, abilities to express ourselves in a proper manner as well as the capability to direct things into fruitful means of interface. Apart from these, there are many other critical facets of living, which we need to discover.

Any setbacks with regard to any of these will tend to bring about what is termed the domino effect regarding the way in which we carry on our lives and also in developing friendly relations with not only ourselves but also with the persons whom we know on a personal level.

Emotional intelligence covers all of the above.

People with elevated levels of emotional intelligence tend to be prominent even if they are facing a challenge from persons whose IQs are equally high. It is not a bad sign to be considered intelligent. It is simply that where everything is concerned, we need to strike a balance and agreement.

Since a long time, the sole deciding factor of contended living is the capability to think properly. However, due to studies Daniel Goleman developed as well as the book on Emotional Intelligence, people’s opinions on right living underwent a drastic transformation.

Both Daniel Goleman as well as his book titled Emotional Intelligence rerouted our single-mindedness from a higher IQ to that of a higher EQ. Specialists have today recognized that individuals who carry out their tasks effectively are not just those considered book smarts. Actually, there are several scenarios when those that are street smart plus emotionally intelligent persons garner the fruits of success.

Now, we can ascertain emotionally intelligent persons by means of their exhibition of different behaviors that separate them from persons with higher IQ but unstable emotions.

There are many people blessed with the aptitude to persist, empathize, and restrain themselves. Then there are persons capable of resolving issues by employing their finest decisions as well as those capable of connecting with people. In addition, there are people who can restrain their inclinations and those capable of maintaining relationships. They come in several faces and every one of them has traits vastly dissimilar from each other.

Now, all these aptitudes are derived from their abilities to be conscious of their very own feelings as well as the sentiment expressed by others. They perfectly understand how and why they respond in the manner, they do. Perhaps, they have a higher level of social intelligence and intrapersonal intelligence, which are useful in arriving at decisions and knowledge of themselves as well as the people with whom they are interfacing.

While there is no possibility that everyone is blessed with greater IQs, all males have equal prospects of developing emotional intelligence because this constitutes an extremely dynamic facet of personality.

Many parents are becoming aware of the importance emotional intelligence plays in having a happy and fulfilling life. Recent studies have shown that a person’s emotional intelligence quotient is a better predictor of success in life than their IQ. Because emotional intelligence skills are learned rather than inherited, parents want to raise their children in a manner that encourages the development of emotional intelligence. I am one of those parents. But I was never really sure how to do that. For many of us, it wasn’t modeled during our own childhood. My daughter’s stuffed animal provided an amazing illustration of the power of letting my child fully feel her emotions (one of the ways of promoting emotional intelligence) and of increasing my own emotional intelligence.

This particular day she brought her new stuffed animal which she got for Valentine’s Day with her to dance class. She and another little girl often bring their stuffed animals to “play” with each other while the girls take class.

Her dad picked her up from dance at 7:30 pm and he hurried her along to get her home so he and I could have our dinner. Usually she likes to change her clothes at the dance studio, so this was a departure from her usual routine.

After arriving home and beginning to change her clothes, she realized that she left her stuffed animal at the dance studio. Her reaction was immediate – she was very upset and began to cry almost uncontrollably about her “love frog,” and how she just got him and now he was at the studio and was going to be lost or stolen and that she wanted to go right back and get him. And how it was all her Daddy’s fault because he wouldn’t let her change her clothes (her usual routine). Her grief was evident. I could feel the ache in my heart for her sadness. Unfortunately, the studio was now closed.

I called the studio to see if the instructor was still there, but as I suspected, she was gone. This increased my daughter’s agitation and she was having difficulty calming herself.

In the meantime, although my heart hurt for her, the thoughts going through my head were “I’ve told you not to bring toys to dance,” “I’ll buy you another one if that one is lost” “You were responsible for keeping track of your toy” and the like.

But I knew that if I said those things to her, it would only have made things worse. It may have escalated the situation to where she would have done or said something disrespectful resulting in a time out or other consequence. None of it would have changed the situation. It would only have caused me to feel guilty for letting the situation spin out of control. And left me wondering how it happened. Ultimately, it would not have recognized her feelings of sadness, loss and feeling upset with herself.

I also remembered times in my own childhood when I felt grief-stricken over some loss or other, but had no one to help me identify what I was feeling. My parents would tell me that I was making a big deal out of nothing and it was my own fault anyway. If it went on too long, they would tell me to stop crying or they would give me something to cry about. They didn’t know how to break through their own discomfort when their child was feeling miserable, so they did the best they could to make the feelings go away quickly. They couldn’t identify their own feelings, let alone help me figure out mine.

So I decided to let her feel her feelings even though it was uncomfortable for me. At first, it was very uncomfortable. We all feel uncomfortable when another person is experiencing strong emotions. As a parent you can’t help but be affected by your child’s desperate sobs over a lost toy. You want to do anything to help your child feel better. But, at the same time you are annoyed that she is having a meltdown over something that could have been prevented. I was determined to do what I could to help and let her work through her feelings and come to some conclusions on her own without letting my conflicting feelings about the situation get in the way.

One thing I did was to empathize with her and prompt her to identify her feelings. I said things like “I know you feel badly about leaving your toy behind” and “You’re feeling scared that your toy will not be there tomorrow” and “you are angry with yourself that you forget your toy.” I also took action – I called her dance teacher at home to find out if she found the toy and put it in a safe place. The teacher did not answer, so I left a message asking for a return call.

As we waited for the dance teacher to call us back, my husband and I ate our dinner and did not draw attention to the problem or try to cajole our daughter out of her upset, and to our great delight, my daughter gradually began to calm to herself down. She got involved in an activity and then prepared for bed. When she answered the return phone call from the dance teacher letting her know that her toy was safe and could be picked up in the morning, she was already calm and accepting the fact that the toy would not be back until the next day.

I felt great about not letting my daughter’s problem become a bigger problem. I was calm and guilt-free and was able to enjoy my dinner and conversation with my husband.

My daughter later said to me “thank you Mommy for helping me feel better about forgetting my love frog.” That moment was priceless. And I learned a valuable parenting lesson about letting my child experience her feelings and validating those feelings without having to “fix” the situation. I also learned to let myself feel my discomfort and get through it. It’s amazing how often I have used this new emotional intelligence skill since that night.

All of us have heard of IQ or Intelligence Quotient, a study that measures how intelligent we are through a series of tests conducted by the school or in the workplace. All this time, it is highly assumed that Intelligence Quotient would determine how successful we are in the future or how we could achieve that goal in a specific time.

But there is another factor that psychologists deem to be one of the contributors to determine if the person would be successful or not, and that is, the Emotional Intelligence, or EQ.

According to wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Emotional_intelligence) emotional Intelligence is defined as “the ability, capacity or skill to perceive, assess and manage the emotions of one’s self, of others and of groups.” In other words, it is described that Emotional Intelligence is actually the way in which you interact with people, and how you relate to them.

Some psychologists believe that relating with people is more important than having what is inside in one’s head. According to wikipedia, some researchers believe that EQ is “a cognitive ability just as is IQ, others believe it is a combination of perceived abilities and traits, while others consider it a skill that can be measured.”

With this, researchers have found out that one of the benefits of Emotional Intelligence is how to deal and manage conflict or negotiation in school, in the home and in the workplace.

So, how does one develop emotional intelligence?

Here are some ways in order to develop Emotional Intelligence, as suggested by the website http://www.eqi.org, in a nutshell.

When dealing with Emotional Intelligence, it is best that your feelings or actions shouldn’t be centered on you. In truth, it should be directed towards the people around you – ask them how they feel about their current situation, and have the ability to reflect on what they feel. Have a compassionate heart towards your friends by empathizing with them, caring for them, and relating how they fell towards you.

Be a leader, too, by taking responsibility for your actions and feelings. Don’t rely on others to make you happy. Rely on yourself to make yourself happy.

Developing emotional intelligence may take some time and effort, but the most important thing is that you have to be conscious of your actions; you have to be conscious of not just your won feelings but the feelings of others as well.

And just try to follow this advice. This is essential to being successful.

The book written on emotional intelligence by the coveted writer Daniel Goleman has broken through a lot of myths. It used to be considered that the emotional aspect of a human being is exactly opposite to his/her rational aspect. However, with the ground breaking work of Daniel Goleman people are gradually coming to realize the importance of emotional intelligence in ones life.

On its outer appearance, the book may look like just another, average, shiny hard-bound self-development book, however, a closer look will reveal many interesting aspects. Such observations may specifically be in the part of the book that is about How to be more effective at work and get promoted. This part specifically attempts to break the defenses of people and appeals to their materialistic senses.

The book offers value much beyond its worth in money. “Emotional Intelligence” by Daniel Goldman brings forth a significant fact quite admirably that the course of a person’s life is determined as much by the persons EQ (Emotional Quotient) as it is by his/her IQ (Intelligence Quotient).

The immense value and attention that the concept of rational thinking receives is put to question. It is a commonly held misconception that a person can make correct decisions in life only based on rational thought and emotions should better be kept at bay. David Golemans ‘Emotional Intelligence’ breaks through this notion, to establish the importance that emotions deserve in any important decision of life.

A significant assertion that David Golemans has made in his work is that emotional intelligence can both be cultivated and destroyed by the conduct of an individual. One is not born with it and develops it over a period of time depending on the person’s environment and circumstances. The more trying emotional situations that a person faces in his/her life, the more better EQ the person develops and thus is able to tide over the viscitudes of life much easily.

Daniel Golemans book reveals certain aspects of an individuals’ life that can be directly attributed to his/her emotional intelligence. These are as follows:

1) Self-Awareness – Such ability helps the person to evaluate oneself. Most of the times people are so blinded by their own shortcomings that they aren’t able to think objectively. However, a person with better emotional intelligence levels never feels overwhelmed by his/her emotions and is able to clearly separate hi/her thoughts from his/her emotions.

2) Control over Impulses – The level of an individuals’ emotional intelligence also determines his/her efficiency in controlling impulsive behaviors and actions. A person who is emotionally well equipped will always be able to weigh the options correctly and be in better control of his/her emotions.

3) Sociability – This is a very important sphere of ones life that is affected greatly by the individuals’ emotional intelligence. To interact with other people socially not only involves our own emotional state of life, but also brings into play our ability to show sensitiveness to other peoples emotions. A person who is emotionally well aware can go very far in life by the effectiveness of his/her social interactions based on sound EQ levels.

Daniel Golemans ‘Emotional Intelligence’ is targeted at the core of human principles and is written to appeal to the people all over the world. It may appear to be like just another get-rich-quick system at some places, but closer observation will throw up some valid arguments. If studied and applied religiously, this book has the potential to change the course of your life for better.

I have no doubt whatever that most people live, whether physically, intellectually or morally, in a very restricted circle of their potential being. They make use of a very small portion of their possible consciousness…much like a man who, out of his whole bodily organism, should get into the habit of using and moving only his little finger…We all have reservoirs of life to draw upon, of which we do not dream! – William James

People often wonder, what emotions has got to do with intelligence? If one is intelligent, he/she is intelligent, why would someone like to get into emotional nitty gritties and complicate life? Aren’t emotions for the weak minded? Well, am sure many of us do feel like that. Someone once told me, if you meet people in high school reunions, you would realize that the ones you considered the smartest might not be doing that great in life and the ones, who were popular, got along with people and were positive about life in general irrespective of their grades, are doing amazingly well in life. So what is it that sets these people apart?

The most distant roots of this puzzle can be traced back to Darwin’s early work on the importance of emotional expression for survival and adaptation. In 1920 E. L. Thorndike at Columbia University, used the term social intelligence to describe the skill of understanding and managing other people which he believed is reason for performance and success.

The term emotional intelligence was coined by Salovey and Mayer in 1990 however it gained popularity after Daniel Goleman published his famous book “Emotional Intelligence: Why it can matter more than IQ” in 1995. Since then the term have been used more commonly than ever.

Previously it was assumed that emotional intelligence, cannot be measured since it revolves around emotions which themselves can never be quantified or be ever measured in any tangible form. By definition, “Emotional Intelligence (EI), often measured as an Emotional Intelligence Quotient (EQ), describes an ability, capacity, or skill to perceive, assess, and manage the emotions of one’s self, of others, and of groups”. It is a relatively new area of psychological research. The definition of EI is constantly changing.

Context of EI in workplaces is again a new area which is gaining popularity. Managers often think they should be impassive and unemotional, and encourage their employees to be the same. But emotions drive performance, and bosses who don’t acknowledge their own and others’ temperaments can’t inspire the best work from their staffs — or even motivate themselves. This view was recently corroborated by Wall street journal under the article ‘Business is Personal’, and indeed it is, because whether we like it or not, face it or not, we don’t leave behind our emotions in a suitcase, we carry them all the time. Its now, slowly companies are realizing the power of emotions in steering an organization towards its goal of sustainable business growth.

As Zuboff says, People have to stop thinking of their feelings as irrelevant and messy and realize that they are in fact highly differentiated nuance patterns of reaction and noble sources of information. We will only know what to do by realizing what feels right to us; attention is our most precious resource. Feelings are the body’s version of their situation; everything that we want to know about our situation is revealed. The switch for business people comes when they realize what they thought was soft is hard and what they thought was hard is often arbitrary! In this sense feelings are guides to the big issues like where am I going?

The field of Emotional Intelligence was always under the skeptic’s radar since there were no tools to measure it. However last two decades have seen explosive work in this field and there are now very comprehensive tools being developed to measure the same. However one must remember., at the end of day, its not magic, its emotions- it would require slow and steady approach, but once you do improve in various EI competencies, the benefits would be substantial and ground breaking, unlike any other improvement programs..

IQ test means Intelligence Quotient, with the help of IQ tests intelligence test you can measure your ability of your work in any field, if you get high IQ level in IQ intelligence test that means there is chances of highly complex jobs.

For many years, the only factor that was taken into account to judge a person’s potential was that on Intelligence Quotient or IQ level, which only assesses reasoning capabilities. However, men are very complex creatures and it does not do justice to limit their assessment levels by making use of just one or two kinds of tests. There exist multiple kinds of intelligence levels in every human, and assessing each of these individually is a better way to judge the potential of success of a person.

Since people are a mix of different aspects of intelligence, some may be better at one kind than another. As the saying goes, one man’s meat may be another’s poison. A person may be great at social skills, but his reasoning skills may be low. This does not mean that he will not be successful in his life, it only means that he needs to recognize his strengths and weaknesses and choose an apt profession. Bosses who have the ability to tell these differences between their employees create winning companies.

The best we can do to evaluate multiple intelligences is to use interpersonal and interpersonal assessments as a yardstick, the latter being the most assertive for this purpose.

Interpersonal tests assess a person’s ability to be totally in tune with his own self. Such people succeed more than those who do not have this self understanding. People who have such an understanding have a healthy state of mind where they are aware of their own strengths and weaknesses, and can judge for themselves which tasks suit them best and which do not.

They also have a keen sense of their own reactions to situations, and therefore are well in control of emotions such as anger which can be destructive. Such people who are in tune with their own selves are also able to tune in to the emotions of other people with a higher level of success, therefore making them good team leaders and successful managers to any company.

There is therefore little difference between interpersonal relation and emotional intelligence. However, interpersonal relation deals more with a realization of ones own self while emotional intelligence deals with emotions that create awareness for better judgments. However, the difference remains minimal. Interpersonal skills could thus be labeled as a subset of emotional intelligence, and they are vital in creating a good understanding of maintaining relationships both personal and professional.

People with high levels of interpersonal reasoning are people who can judge the emotions of others well, and this makes them good counselors and tutors. Such people when recognized are made leaders of other people, and more often than not they succeed in getting the best out of their subordinates at work, and the best out of their partners in social relations.

People are fickle beings who constantly change their preferences of style, clothing and other accessories with passing trends. We see a constant change in people’s attitudes towards what we call life and living. Like everyone else who caters to this constant change in people’s attitudes, writers too have to stay abreast with what people want to read about on the current scene, and the kind of language that is acceptable to the times. This does seem even more applicable to non fiction writers, where content needs to keep up with the times as well.

One of the major changes on non fiction writing in recent years in the attitude that society has now accepted towards emotional intelligence. In the days of old, people believed that emotions were always a distraction, and no good was to come out of letting your emotions affect your work. This may be true to an extent, but today it is widely accepted that emotional intelligence, when harnessed in the right manner can actually improve work efficiency.

Recent studies have shown us that emotions are not independent of intellect, and that when they are in tandem, we see a successful work habit. Therefore it is important to study emotional intelligence just as much as IQ or intelligence quotient.

Writers of today thus need to work towards involving this modern philosophy in their works, to be read widely and popularly. For a writer to familiarize himself with writings of such kind, it is a great idea to take a look at other pieces of similar nature written by other writers. Examples of such writing can definitely help a writer incorporate the emotional intelligence phenomenon into their own work.

Connectivity with the reader: In days gone by, writers were encouraged to write objectively and without bias. Today however, the successful writer is he who can win a place in the hearts of his readers by writing with a definite bias. Readers of today return time and again to the writer who can strike an emotional chord within them, and this is an example of emotional intelligence at work in the writing field for you.

Creative Writing: Writing is a form of art, and any art form requires for the artist to tap into his own emotional reserve to come up with something creative. Writers too, look within to find something close to their heart to write on, because it is only when you use such emotional reserves that the writer can portray himself as am emotional being and strike the right chords in his readers’ minds.

However, we often hear of writers’ block, where the writer feels an exhaustion of emotion so is unable to write any more. Well, the solution to this lies in recharging those emotions by reading other writers’ emotional writings! There you have emotional intelligence at work once again, in the field of writing.

IQ test means Intelligence Quotient, with the help of IQ tests intelligence test you can measure your ability of your work in any field, if you get high IQ level in IQ intelligence test that means there is chances of highly complex jobs.

Your emotional intelligence is measured by your emotional quotient.

EMOTIONAL QUOTIENT

Where IQ measures your general intelligence, emotional quotient measures your level of emotional intelligence. In a sense, it’s an emotional inventory. Emotional quotient is the ability to sense, understand, and effectively apply the power of your emotions to build relationship compatibility. It can show you how to improve performance, personally and professionally. EQ also helps you gain awareness and control of your emotions in the workplace.

If you know your EQ, you can better understand how your emotions affect your choices and decisions. A high EQ can help you improve decision making by using your head, not just your heart.

There are five areas of emotional quotient, which fall under two categories – Intrapersonal and Interpersonal.

INTRAPERSONAL EMOTIONAL QUOTIENT – Self-Awareness, Self-Regulation, and Motivation

Self-Awareness – the ability to recognize and understand your moods, emotions, and drives, as well as their effect on others. Take an emotional test by rating yourself in these areas of Self-Awareness:

I rely on my intuition to assist me in my decision-making.

I can name my greatest strengths.

I am usually aware of the way I am feeling.

Self-Regulation – the ability to control or redirect disruptive impulses and moods and the ability to suspend judgment and think before acting. Take an emotional test by rating yourself in these areas of Self-Regulation:

I am calm even in tense situations.

I rarely make impulsive decisions.

I am willing to forego immediate gratification when on a budget.

Motivation – a passion to work for reasons that go beyond money or status, and the ability to pursue goals with energy and persistence. Take an emotional test by rating yourself in these areas of Motivation:

I seek out innovative ways of getting the job done.

I would continue to work if I won the lottery.

When I know what I want, I go after it.

Your Intrapersonal Emotional Quotient is the ability to understand and form an accurate concept of yourself, and be able to use that concept to operate effectively in life.

INTERPERSONAL EMOTIONAL QUOTIENT – Empathy and Social Skills

Empathy – the ability to understand the emotional makeup of other people. Take an emotional test by rating yourself in these areas of Empathy:

I can sense someone’s true feelings based on their body language.

The emotional tone of an interaction is easy to decipher.

I would make a great therapist.

Social Skills – a proficiency in managing relationships and building networks. Take an emotional test by rating yourself in these areas of Social Skills:

I find it easy to establish common ground with somebody I have just met.

I have a wide circle of acquaintances.

I constantly look for opportunities to build relationships.

Your Interpersonal Emotional Quotient is the ability to understand other people and relate effectively to them; to understand what motivates others, how they work, and how to work cooperatively with them. Improving your EQ score is how to improve social skills.

PERSONAL AND PROFESSIONAL GROWTH

Having a high emotional quotient can help you build strong relationships, reduce stress, and motivate yourself to get what you want.

In business, a high emotional quotient is how to improve performance. It can help you be more productive, improve decision making, and become a superior performer. You will be, as author Glenn Sheppard says, “the employee your company can’t live without.”

Daniel Goleman further says, “When I went on to write my next book, ‘Working with Emotional Intelligence,’ I wanted to make a business case that the best performers were those people strong in these skills.”
