Being in the midst of a crowd does not hinder the emotions of loneliness which many familiarity. Indeed, the alarming rate of attempted suicides, suicides, depression, and drug intakes reveal that so many human beings feel hopeless and all alone in this earth. Loneliness is really one of the worst kinds of emotions that one can deal with, since it gives its victim a sense of unworthiness. To the person enslaved in these feelings, they feel as though their lifetime really does not count. And regardless of the like that another or others may attempt to exhibit, when you are convinced that the like shown is not absolute, or if the person expressing the actions of like, in any path betrays the lonely through ungodly method, the heart of the victim goes deeper and deeper into a state of depression and hopelessness. Sometimes, friends and family may let you down. Sometimes, a co-worker may attempt to hurt your reputation on the job and get you fired. Then again, maybe you have faced betrayal by a spouse or family member. Or maybe your discouragement comes from the lack of finances and resources that you demand. Discouragement comes from varied sources. And, it is not limited to race, color, or religion. We all face it. 			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The world today requires us to make many critical decisions regarding personal and professional life, in a day. A businessman needs to make quick and efficient decisions about the company he leads. An investor needs to make decisions as to what firm is best to invest in at the given day and time. These are only a couple of examples of the kinds of quick decisions people sometimes need to make.</p>
<p>There was a time when people were told by their superiors that when you make such important decisions in life you need to leave your emotions out of the thought process. People were encouraged to think mechanically if you may, and let numbers and equations be the only factors that affect their decision.</p>
<p>However, a study on the past success of businessmen shows that it was that group of people who did best in life who took their emotions into account when making critical decisions. Thus we see the need to study this phenomenon called emotional intelligence or EQ.</p>
<p>Successful people are those that are able to deal well with their own emotions and who are able to recognize the emotions of others around them as well.</p>
<p>Since it is not possible to remove emotions from your life, you would do better to deal with them rather than try and suppress them. Suppressed emotions can only result in frustrated feelings. Even in business deals, you need to keep in mind that it is in fact people who are behind the work flow. When you understand people better you will be able to deal with them better, and therefore get a better work result out of them.</p>
<p>Every body knows that making the right contacts is a big part of being a successful businessman. When your social skills are right, you make contacts easily, and you social skills depend on your understanding of people&#8217;s emotions. No one wants to stay in touch with a rude or manner less person. Here we see emotional intelligence at work yet again. When we have a good level of EQ, we understand our own selves much better and therefore are at peace with our inner self as well as with other people around us.</p>
<p>Also, when you have the right balance of emotional intelligence understanding, you can handle stress like never before. Rather than get frustrated at situations beyond our control, we will begin to see on the brighter side of things always, and that is a healthy attitude that can only do you good in the long run.</p>
<p>Any way you look at it, you cannot run away from your emotions. Rather if you tried to harness the energy they create for a positive impact on your life, you will see life become better by the day.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>All of us have heard of IQ or Intelligence Quotient, a study that measures how intelligent we are through a series of tests conducted by the school or in the workplace. All this time, it is highly assumed that Intelligence Quotient would determine how successful we are in the future or how we could achieve that goal in a specific time.</p>
<p>But there is another factor that psychologists deem to be one of the contributors to determine if the person would be successful or not, and that is, the Emotional Intelligence, or EQ.</p>
<p>According to wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Emotional_intelligence) emotional Intelligence is defined as &#8220;the ability, capacity or skill to perceive, assess and manage the emotions of one&#8217;s self, of others and of groups.&#8221; In other words, it is described that Emotional Intelligence is actually the way in which you interact with people, and how you relate to them.</p>
<p>Some psychologists believe that relating with people is more important than having what is inside in one&#8217;s head. According to wikipedia, some researchers believe that EQ is &#8220;a cognitive ability just as is IQ, others believe it is a combination of perceived abilities and traits, while others consider it a skill that can be measured.&#8221;</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I‘m sure you have heard about positive affirmations, many of us have, but do affirmations work, and if so why or how do they work? What is the magic power behind them? What power do words really have, because aren‘t affirmation nothing more than words or <a href='http://www.positivethinking-toolbox.com/positive-phrases.html' target='_blank'>positive phrases</a>? If your interest is sparked, keep reading, because after you have read this short article you will have the answers to all of these questions and more. Not only will you understand why and how affirmations work, you will be figuring out a way to start using them right away in your life.</p>
<p>Affirmations are positive words or statements that are carefully constructed to state your deepest hopes, dreams and desires.  These statements are then used to combat the constant negative beliefs and feelings, many of us harbor deep in our subconscious mind.  When <a href='http://www.positivethinking-toolbox.com/using-positive-affirmations.html' target='_blank'>using positive affirmations</a>, the common practice is to recite these positive statements a number of times throughout a set number of days. The reason for this is because it takes time to change a belief and or a habit. The experts say it takes 30 days to change a  thought pattern or a habit. For this reason it is good practice to recite your affirmations for a minimum of 30 days.</p>
<p>So, now let’s answer the question, how are habits and beliefs formed? Simply put, habits and beliefs are formed through repetition. Let‘s do a little demonstration to see how this works, shall we. Let’s focus on our current belief system first.  Let’s say we have seen study after study saying that eggs are bad for our health (which was once the case). So our belief is that eggs are bad for our health, but then there is a new study out that says eggs are good for our health. Our first reaction is to shrug off the results of this new study because there are so many other studies that say otherwise. Then something strange happens. You here a couple co-workers talking about the health benefits of eggs, then you read another study that says eggs are good for the heart. Now, your belief hasn’t changed, but you are teetering on which side to believe. The next day you over hear a doctor tell his patient that eggs are good. At this point you are convinced that eggs are good and you are spreading the word about the health benefits of eggs.</p>
<p>Habits work in much the same way. The first time someone takes a puff of a cigarette, they are not a smoker. As a matter of fact, most people cough and gag. What happens is, that they have a cigarette with their friends to look cool, they have a cigarette to calm the nerves, they have one to celebrate the new year with their friends, then they have one so they have a reason for a 5 minute break out of the office. Any one of these times is not significant, but the collective events is important. What happens is before they know it, they are lighting up without even thinking about it.</p>
<p>Why do affirmations work? They work because we are doing the same thing we did to create our current habit or belief. We are introducing the new thoughts and ideas into our brains and then we are repeating them until eventually we have a new belief or we have created a new habit. It’s not magic. It is just the way our minds work. </p>
<p>The question isn’t why do affirmations work. The real question is why aren’t we using affirmations in our everyday life? Logically, we know why affirmations work. If we think back to any belief we have or any habit, in many instances, we can pinpoint when that belief our habit was first introduced. We may not have been conscious of it at the time, but now we have the power to create new habits and beliefs with conscious creation. By simply  introducing and repeating our deepest hopes, dreams and desires into our subconscious mind by reciting daily affirmations we are in fact creating new beli</p>
