Procrastination can really be hard. If you are suffering from it you need to read this guide to overcoming procrastination!

Do The Hardest and Toughest Jobs First.

By doing this your self-esteem will be boosted, and you will feel like you have achieved something. This will also have the roll on effect that other tasks will seem pretty easy to do.

When making a to-do list, make sure you follow everything you’ve written chronologically by listing the most important things to be done on top and ticking them off as you go along. Not only will this be more organized but it will be easier for you to follow and focus on what’s next rather than choosing what you think you should do on the list.

The Right Time and Right Mood Will Never Happen. Accept It!

There is no point hanging out to be in the right mood, or the right time to happen. Waiting around for this “special time” or “special mood” is a hindrance to your productivity!

Perfectionism is not Perfect.

Self-esteem is tantamount to a job well done. But some people go to the extent of constantly postponing or delaying work because they feel they are not the best. This will not help with overcoming procrastination!

Perfectionists give themselves a hard time trying to get something done in the most flawless way. They give themselves unrealistic deadlines. Negatively assess their outcomes. This mentality hinders people from getting actual work done. Perfectionists perform poorly because they constantly obsess about messing up.

Ironically – the best performers aren’t perfectionists. Why? because they get the job done rather than obsess over messing it up.

If you suffer from being a perfectionist, reassess you priorities. Take small brave steps. Create an action plan with realistic deadlines. The key to doing your best is to start really early. That way you give yourself plenty of time to review your work and spot errors. By maintaining a fresh and relaxed attitude, you are able to give your best.

Create Momentum.

Get up and start moving. This alone should help you snap out of your procrastination. Why? Because doing something (particularly physical) helps you to increase efficiency. And one you get up it is easier to keep moving.

Go for a walk whenever you can. Clean your desk and get rid of clutter. This creates a forward motion that will keep things going. Doing something rather than slacking builds momentum and jump-starts you up for your project.

Procrastination is not just something we chose to do from time to time. Some people actually suffer from it leading to chronic depression from lack of self-worth. If you are trying to overcome this, be realistic in your goals. Forget about getting a quick-fix. The only way to be successful in getting rid of this behavior is to develop a routine that works for you.

Try reading some procrastination quotes as well!

Access practical recommendations about emotional freedom technique training – study the web page. The time has come when concise info is really within your reach, use this possibility.

I’d like to share the truth about myself and some of the painful experiences I’ve had. Not long ago I invested in a project and failed. This invitation seemed like a possibility for me to finally settle down and do what I’m here for and really want, but left me with nothing more than bank loans that only doubled the payouts I already had. During this time I also lost my new work and only current income, which after months of dispair finally forced me to beg for welfare. In trust of the future in this financial project I was unfortunate and stupid enough to have already burnt all my savings on a vacation.

The Law of Attraction is nothing new to me. I’ve known about it, among all the other universal Laws, since I was in my late teens. This was in the early nineties, long before “The Secret-trend”. By then this was still kind of odd to believe in on the mainstream. What I discovered during this hard time is that there are certain times that I do not recommend any kind of participation with this kind of information. Tired, depressed, broke and out of direction, I had not only lost some but all of my motivation. Everything was dark. Everything was taken away from me, my passion, inspiration, and almost my faith in anything. Even my beloved stereo, enjoying music – the only simple amusement I had left, also let me down because I had no money to fix it. Above all this I was so terribly frightened that I thought that my teeth was going to fall out of my mouth, and they literally did. I have lost one tooth that was aching those harsh months when I couldn’t afford the dentist, and I can tell you there have been times that I have wondered if I was going to even be able to chew my own food anymore.

Bombarded with all these “achieve your dreams-messages” on my email, I was becoming only more depressed, day by day, for wanting so much, to live and to share, but being and seeing myself so terribly lost and cut off. With the awareness I had, I realized that I was in a severely hazardous condition, which only made the situation even more severe and frightening. You can always be and know that you are grateful, but during a depression it’s impossible to actually feel that gratitude. That’s why affirmation or visualization didn’t work for me at that point. I had nothing left to give. I wasn’t motivated to receive. The sparkle just simply wasn’t there – at all, and I had no idea how to find it. That is absolute misery. This is when I understood that the only person that could save me, was me. I wondered if I was going to lose my mind when one Mastermind Coach asked me why I had to do this on my own, because I didn’t even have an answer for it then. I just knew. At this point I could have just given up and lost myself forever. And with the knowledge I had, information or advice was the least thing I needed, or even to talk about it at all with anyone. That would only drain me. Couldn’t paint or write myself out of this condition either. I was far too distressed.

But now, seeming not to want anything, I was even beginning to feel ashamed for feeling what I did, wanting to make it on my own, climbing my mountains, fording my own streams and finding my own dreams. I just had to let myself do that. That’s all I needed to do. To listen. In order to listen properly, you need complete silence. I believe we all have a radio receiver-transmitter inside us telling what our path and decisions really is. No one can do this for you and there is no right or wrong here. While I may have 95.0 Megahertz you might have 107.8 Megahertz, and our only task is to find the answer for the question: What is my music within? It’s so easy to lose connection and not be tuned in with our enormous flow of information and everything that’s happening aroud us everyday. At this vulnerable state, information will only be noise and disturbances on your radio. You need to be tuned in first so you can sing *your music* out loud. Of course, this is just my experience, so you will have to take your own stand whether this feels true for you or not as well. But watch out for the codependency out there. Nobody can judge you for being resistant, stubborn, unwilling or lazy for not being able to recieve their help. Others can only support you, but you have to do the work, including the hardest one – daring to be honest with yourself.

In critical moments like these, I know many people give up on their lives. All I can say is, never never ever give up. There is somehow always a way out, no matter how hopeless or helpless the situation seems or feels. I exercised myself out of my personal crisis. It helped me through the day, each day. It helped me sleep at night. It distracted my so primitive fears. With the adrenalin frustration I was going through, I think I would have gotten very ill if it wasn’t for this, and this is my only recommendation. When most body/mind/spirit-teachers talk about how you can achieve physical wellness through different mental processes, I had to do it in the opposite direction, since I found myself suffering from a complete mental and spiritual “burn out”, and the point is, it works. In the very silence and emptiness of my mind, I’m still recovering. Find your Favourite Physical Exercise. Buy your favourite equipment while you can afford it, because you might have use for it one day even if you aren’t inspired to move right now. This is an investment in yourself. It’s the far oldest, proven, simplest, most polite and completely harmless method ever. No risk, no side effects, if you wisely enjoy yourself doing it and do it on your own conditions. Anyone with a functional body can move something, even if you are on painkillers. You’ll understand how much this heals when you start making this an everyday lifestyle. The rewards are priceless, the relaxation and natural meditation that automatically comes with it, and the movement is free. In fact there is also a lot of exercise that is already completely natural and free. If you have stairs, walk them. If you have a job, walk there. If you have a bike, use it. If you have a functional radio – dance!

I can still remember how much I hated the sports lessons in school. It has haunted and followed me until now these last years. What I now understand is that the prestige during the schoolyears made me associate all kind of exercise with stress and defeat. I’d just love to inspire you how I have independently learned and grown to associate exercise with pleasure, deep fulfillment and joy instead. That’s why you naturally will only want more and more of it. It helps you through defeat. Makes you master anything. Nothing can replace it, no book, no pill, no short cut or quick fix what so ever.

* What I have recalled is that the energy that everyone out there is talking about is nothing else but – pure love. The heart of everything, the motor of every atom, motion and emotion. This knowledge can not be understood intellectually in any kind of program, university, belief system or script. It’s a mystery that has to be revealed beyond words, goals, control or willpower through human experience within each one of us.*

The real secret – everything is love. Has always been, will always be. Which means your dreams awaits you. We tend to forget important things sometimes. Like creation is constantly re-experiencing its own beauty through evolution, maybe we sometimes have to do our own little adventures just to discover and be reminded and solidify in our hearts the beauty of this universial truth.

We all experience some stress in our lives every day, but if you find yourself worrying so much that you’re losing sleep and having a hard time concentrating at work, then it is time you took action. Worry and fear are powerful emotions, and if left untreated they can often lead to anxiety and even depression.

The first thing to remember is that just as a seed cannot grow without soil and water to nourish it, your anxiety cannot grow without you feeding it. Anxiety is caused by an intense fear or worry about a possible outcome. These are the thoughts that are running unchecked through your head. The only way to control your anxiety is by controlling your thoughts.

You can begin by thinking back to other times when you worried about something. Did the fear come true or was the worry groundless? How much time have you wasted agonizing over something that never came about? It’s okay to have a little anxiety, everyone does. It’s when the worry begins to control your life that it has become a serious problem.

Worry has never solved anything. Because worry is a form of fear and intense fear can paralyze us, anxiety can actually make us fear making a decision and prevents us from solving the problem. Instead, we just keep running the same negative possible outcome over and over through our heads. Our fear actually creates additional fear.

If there is something wrong, then you need to focus on fixing it instead of worrying about it. If it can’t be fixed, then worrying about what might happen tomorrow accomplishes nothing except spoiling today. Worry on its own has never fixed anything.

Anxiety can become a vicious cycle that feeds itself. The only way to overcome the anxiety is to overcome the fear, and this is accomplished by changing your thought process. Rather than having a mind full of fear, fill it with hope and favorable outcomes. Events seldom turn out as terrible or as wonderful as we imagine they will. Our thoughts tend to the extreme while life is usually somewhere in the middle.

Concentrate on the positives and when you feel any negativity creeping into your thought process, push it away and go back to the positives. It is like a tug-of-war, either you control your anxiety or your anxiety will control you. Start with small issues and work your way up to larger ones, always picturing a positive outcome. Once you can keep these positive results in mind, you then need to begin taking positive action to make them come about. The cure for anxiety begins as a thought and then works its way into a positive action.

If you are carrying around a lot of worries, you need to either let some of them go or get yourself bigger shoulders.electric car motor|electric car motor|electric car motor

Having a hard time fulfilling the time management methods you imposed on yourself? Do you still feel that you are rushing and being stressed too much because of failure to abide by the time management rules you set out on abiding?

Well, that is not uncommon. Most people, especially students require sometime in honing their time management skills. Likewise, setting dogmatic time management rules for yourself that you expect to fulfill to the letter is not the proper way to go about organizing your time.

Here are tips that you can easily follow:

1. Count all your time as time to be used and be satisfied out of every moment.

2. Find something to enjoy in whatever you do.

3. Stop regretting your failures and start learning from your mistakes.

4. Remind yourself, “There is always enough time for the important things.” If it is important, you should be able to make time to do it.

5. Continuously look for ways of freeing up your time.

6. Try to use waiting time¬¬-review notes or do practice problems.

7. Keep a paper calendar with you and paper where you can jot down the things you have to do or notes to yourself.

8. Examine and revise your lifetime goals on a monthly basis and be sure to include progress towards those goals on a daily basis.

9. Always keep those long-term goals in mind. Put up reminders in your home or office about your goals.

10. Plan your day each morning or the night before and set priorities for yourself.

11. Maintain and develop a list of specific things to be done each day, set your priorities and the get the most important ones done sooner in the day as is possible. Evaluate your progress at the end of the day briefly.

12. Look ahead in your month and try to anticipate what is going to happen so you can better schedule your time.
.
13. Follow the age-old rules of doing first things first.

14. Be confident about yourself in your judgment of priorities and stick to them no matter what.

15. When you catch yourself procrastinating-ask yourself, “What am I avoiding?”

16. Start with the most difficult parts of projects, and then when you have done your worst, you may find you do not have to do all the other small tasks.

17. Catch yourself when you are involved in unproductive projects and stop as soon as you can.

18. Find time to concentrate on high priority items or activities.

19. Concentrate on one thing at a time.

20. Put your efforts in areas that provide long-term benefits.

21. Push yourself and be persistent, especially when you know you are doing well.

22. Think on paper when possible-it makes it easier to review and revise.

23. Be sure and set deadlines for yourself whenever possible.

24. Delegate responsibilities whenever possible.

25. Ask for advice when needed.

In putting some of the ideas given in this enumeration to practice, you can use a time management sheet for students. You can go to book supply stores for these pre-formatted time management sheet forms. You can get a blank sheet, online, too. Most probably, universities and college institutions have their own format of time management sheets for their students.

You can also make one. You online need a large sheet of paper, rulers and a marker or ball pen. You can put in a neat row of the important things you need to do and the least important ones, against the each day of the week when you are expected to finish it up or start out.

Once you have your own student time management sheet, in whatever method as mentioned, you can jot down and plan your daily, weekly or monthly schedule.

You can complete filling up your Planned Schedule in once you can get a complete summary of the time-use chart and of course, your school’s syllabus and student calendar where you will find all the necessary student activities that would involve you whether you like it, or not.

Use your time management sheet as your very own personal activity calendar. While improving or adding items to it, think about how you want to use your time for studying, reading, and recreating. Try a given schedule for a week or two and readjust if you think it is called-for.

Eric is having a hard time coping up with his schedules. Whenever the final examination is nearing, he always crams up to study his lessons. Moreover, the submission and the quality of his school projects are also affected. In other words, his schedule is a big mess for him.

If you are a college student with similar problems like Eric, there is a common problem that both of you are sharing with—it is about time management.

Being a student is synonymous to busy schedules. Your subject professors assigning mountain of homework, you are member of the dance troupe, and all other things that come with being a student.

You have so much to do but so little time to do it. It is a common problem for college students. Finding time to perform all possible activities that you will encounter during your college life is difficult. Instead of enjoying it, you will end messed up
.
How do you find time for all of this schoolwork? The best advice to avoid getting bogged down is to keep track of your time. Keep a record of your days and maintain your daily progress on the way to your objectives.

Remember that time management is vital; it will help you to determine your success in your college life. If you still uncertain on how you will organize your schedule, maybe you should have a time calendar as a gift for yourself.

Time Calendar System

It is similar to the calendar that you use in your home. However, it is customized to help you track down different activities. It includes the date and time of your activities.

You can also take down notes. For instance, you have cancelled your appointment with someone because of some reasons. College schedules are taking a long-term perspective on time.

There are different scales of time calendar that you can use. It can be a yearly, monthly, and weekly calendar.

Year Scale Time Calendar

It is not easy to monitor today’s activity and remember what needs to be done in six months. Plan ahead with a yearly calendar, divided into months. You can keep track of your short term and long-term goals.

For instance, your project submission is due for the next two months, then you can plan three months in planning how your project will be done.

You can also add all long-term deadlines on this calendar.

Monthly Scale Time Calendar

It is divided into the number of days in a month. You can include all paper deadlines, examination dates, and appointments that will be happening in that particular month so that you can plan.

Add self-imposed deadlines on personal appointments with your friends so that your college schedule with not be ruined.

Weekly Scale Time Calendar

Most students prefer a weekly scale of measurement because it is easy to update. Your weekly calendar includes your day-to-day appointments and deadlines. Have a group study on Thursday afternoon. You can record it here.

Daily to-do List

It will keep you moving on the way to your objectives on a daily basis. You can spare some 10 minutes every night and make a to-do list for the next day.

Have a glance over your calendar for the next couple of weeks to remember activities that need to be planned. Treat your daily to-do list as your friend. Never leave home without it.

• Always update your to-do list. Rank each item by importance. Get rid of unessential activities and include all the important ones.

• Schedule time to work on classes and research each day. It will help you to organize your class works and your research studies. Organized school works keeps you away from cramming and jamming up your schedules.

• Be flexible. Expect that in every activity, there is a possibility of interruptions that can result in the cancellation of that particular activity.

Planning your school schedule using the time calendar system will eventually enhance your time management skills.

So get started and have your time calendar with you all the time. As mentioned earlier, treat it as you friend and never leave your house without it.

Have you ever run out of time to do something that you really need to do?

If you answered yes then maybe you did not manage your time very well. Time management is making the most of your schedules and makes sure your do it.

It is one of the most important skills to arm yourself with during college. You will be very busy on your studies and at the same time balance it by socializing with other students.

You have successfully passed the university exam, you are so happy that you will be able to meet new friends and perhaps have a girlfriend or boyfriend.

Keep in mind that just entering college is the easy part, the hard part would be finishing it in one piece. College can be fun and at the same time frustrating, especially when your professor is giving you a hard time. You probably thought of these things when you first visited your university campus:

• The campus is so big, I have to get ready for classes but I also want to go to parties.

• I am scared. Help me.

• Ok, so now I am in college. Now what?

• Where is the bathroom?

Making it through college is not about how smart you are. It is not about how much you scored on your college entrance exams and it is not all about studying. People need to socialize, its part of their nature. College provides that but college also requires you to study.

You see, you have to balance your time between studies and socializing. Some college students study their minds out but some of them do not make it through college because of stress. Some college students think of the university as one big party organization.

The students either does not know how important it is to socialize and some are just plain lazy to study or does not know how important education is.

You may be a genius but it is not the key to be successful in college. So what is the secret to get you through college?

Time management is the key.

You have to balance everything in your college life. You have to do manage everything like, morning jogs, preparing for classes, studying, school organization activities, spending time with friends and sleeping.

Time management is not all about studying but also the awareness on relieving the stress of being in college.

Here are some ways on how you can effectively manage your so little time.

• Set goals. Know what you want to achieve and make it your priority. This can be anything, whether you want to achieve the goal in a day, a week, or a semester. Ask yourself what your academic goal is.

Making goals can make it easier for you to look straight ahead; instead of juggling subjects that you think is easy, this could be very stressful and often results in not achieving your goal.

If you have more than one goal, then it is a good idea to subdivide it into manageable pieces. List down what you want to achieve for one week and for another week.

• Prioritize. Once you are determined on the goals you want to achieve, you need to prioritize the activities required by the goal. This will help you determine what particular task needs to be accomplished first and what tasks can be set aside in the mean time. To achieve your priorities more efficiently, try to mark deadlines in your calendar.

• Time management planning is there for you to follow. Do not stray from it. The key to time management planning is following it. Some college students get easily tempted by acquaintances to go to a party while the student is studying or in the process of achieving his or her goals.

They often think that they can put off the schedule until tomorrow. This often results in too much things to do the next day resulting in stress and frustration.

• Make use of extra time. For example, instead of doing nothing in a class waiting for the professor, try to think of the last class assignment. If you are going to write an essay, use the time to think of a good topic for it.

This is a great way to manage your time into manageable pieces and great time saver. This also makes you more time to spend time with your friends. Just remember that the sooner you get a task done, the better instead of letting it wait.

You all probably thought that a day only lasts too short for you to finish all your work and wishes that there were more hours in a day, but it is literally impossible. Therefore, the best thing to do is utilize with what little time you have.

Make a time management schedule to set priorities straight and avoid being stressed out of trying to accomplish everything at once.

Have you ever wondered why you are cramming every time your final examination is nearing? Your choir group is having a practice on Friday afternoon and at the same time, you and your classmates will have a group study at the same day.

What will you prioritize? Difficult, but it is the reality among college students today.

Time management is a vital factor in fulfilling a successful college career. It is a well-known fact that college life is full of surprises—tons of homework and projects, almost endless examinations, and other things with regard to studying.

If do not use effective time management skills, you will have quite a hard time organizing different appointments and commitments.

Unlike in your high school classes before that you are dealing with the same subject matter every day, most college classes do not meet on a daily basis.

There will be times that your next class is due for another 2 to 3 hours, so you still have time to play a game of Frisbee. If you have habits like that, always watch out for the time, or else your college life will end up sooner than you have expected.

Here are the following tips to help you maximize the use of your time dealing with different activities and at the same time minimize your stress level.

Tip No.1: Use a time chart.

In time management, time chart is always recommended. It helps to find the best time for different types of activities you will engage in. College students have a unique time management challenge in particular portions of their schedule that are fixed and with lots of free time in between.

It will help you to add some additional structure to your schedule based on the times that you think is best suited for different activities.

For instance, you can set studying some mathematical and design problems during your free time in between two light subjects. Not only you have managed your activities, you are also keeping your mind away from possible stress that you may acquire.

It also adds more balance to your schedule. Some students focus too much on studying and forgetting other types of activities like sports, recreation, and social events.

Tip No.2: Prioritize

Prioritizing is one of the most common time management problems. Deciding what activities must be done first or second is difficult, especially when all of these activities are all you priorities.

It is essential for college students to select and prioritize the activities they want to spend their time with.

In case that you cannot figure out which must be prioritized, here are the guides that you can refer to. Knowing your priorities will help you fix your schedule much better.

• Reward: Ask yourself what things give you the greatest joy. As you sort through your personal priorities, look on the aspect of personal fulfillment.

You will find that there is satisfaction in doing what you are gifted. In other words, do the things that you think will give you something good in the end.

• Requirement: When you feel plagued by obligations, all you have to do is to stop first and try to sort out your “must dos” from your “choose to dos”.

It is a well-known fact that you have obligations. Certainly, you are not asked to perform all the obligations in this world. Ask yourself what are the things that you are required to do.

• Results: When sorting your priorities, ask yourself if what things that gives you favorable results in return. Spend most of your time working in things of your greatest strength.

You will not waste your time and effort in doing something that you know will not give you the favorable result that you want.

College is a great time to have experiment with new things. Setting priorities will help you balance these new experiences with focus for the things that really matter to you.

Tip No.3: Be careful with over-commitment and attempting to do too much.

Exerting too much effort on a certain activity can lead to excessive stress, pressure, and eventual burnout. Remember that when you take on something, you are declining everything else that you could have done with that time.

Tip no.4: Write things down.

The habit of writing things down using an effective time management system will help you remember even the smallest detail of your activity especially during your classes.

Owning a thriving business is a dream for many people. Many small business owners work diligently to create a business that appears clean and well put together. Outward appearances can certainly help a business to thrive, but one thing that is often over looked by many business owners is their own self improvement and how that can affect the business they choose to own.

Your business should be one that you love and is a clear reflection of you and your personality. Finding your strengths and creating a business that runs well on those strengths will help that business to be a success. If you lack in certain areas your business is liable to flounder in those areas as well. There is always an opportunity to improve yourself and in turn improve your business as well.

Areas of your life that can always use improvement and will help your business to be a successful one are the areas of goal setting, and your organizational skills. If you lack either of these two skills your business will suffer greatly and turning it into a thriving business can be a real problem. Thankfully these are both skills that you can easily be learned and you can overcome a deficiency in these areas. When running your own business you need to be able to be well organized so that you can handle all of the last minute details that inevitably come up. Honing these skills will allow you to clean the clutter from your life as well as create a work environment that allows you easy access to all your important information.

Setting goals is an equally important task that a lot of people can have a hard time with. Personal goals are just as important as goals you set for your business. If you have personal goals in place that are attainable you will reach your goals in a time frame that is best for you. If you lack goals in your personal life your business goals may suffer as well.

The business that will thrive the best is one that fits your personality. Finding that business can be tricky, and you will have to be willing to take a look at your strengths and weaknesses. Improving yourself should start by taking a good look at your weaknesses and strengths determining which of those weaknesses can be overcome through learning better how to do them and start working towards that goal. For example if you lack organizational skills, can never seem to pay the bills on time or easily loose things then learning to be more organized would benefit you both personally and in your business. Having a clear cut set of goals, and striving to improve yourself will ultimately make your personal life better and help you create a successful and thriving business.
