Hmmm, I’ll have to get back to you on that.
Seriously, if this is new thing, check with a doctor. You may be suffering from depression.

There is no easy way out. You are going to have to confront the scary monster that is paralyzing you. By "stuffing" we can put off emotional pain for the time being; but sooner or later, it will force our hand and cause us to deal with the root cause.
You will need a tour guide on this journey, someone who is qualified, trustworthy, and genuinely cares about the outcome.
This is one matter about which you simply cannot "procrastinate".

The first thing to do is quit Yahoo answers. Then focus on a specific goal. Try it.

Here’s a rule I live by. It won’t fix all your problems, but who knows.
A body in motion tends to stay in motion; a body at rest tends to stay at rest.
How you apply this is by using the first part (the second one you’ve already mastered!)
For instance, when you get home from work, instead of sitting down or doing whatever you may do at the end of the day, start on whatever chores need to be done. For instance, when I get home, I immediately empty the litter box, prepare the coffee, wash some dishes, pick out my clothes for the next day, etc. All this still in my heels and work clothes!

if the symptoms you described below your question are what you are suffering from, it looks more like depression rather than just chronic procrastination. either that, or you’ve gone into the vicious cycle of procrastination. depending on how long you’ve been having these symptoms, you should visit a health care provider. if you are temporarily experiencing these symptoms, it could be normal, but if they interfere with normal day-to-day activites, you really should seek help.
also identify the cause of procrastination — are you trying to avoid a certain task/person/situation? or are you simply overestimating yourself on how you can handle situations? or are you just being "lazy"? are you having health issues? if your answer corresponds to the first question, it is important for you to resolve that avoidance behavior rather than treating "procrastination" per se. as of health issues (i’m no expert on this) being a cause… if you have, say, mono and is tired all the time, it’s obvious that you won’t have the energy and stamina to do work.
Here’s a website FYI on procrastination

Try acting like someon else who doesn’t procrastinate at all. Do your work on time. Don’t slack off. Keep repeating that in your head.

1)Take a decision and take action immediately on the basis of that decision, the decision may be a silly one like you will go to a place through a particular route etc.
2)Practice this daily, you should not take too many decisions under this program but only a few within your capacity so that the habit of taking action immediately after taking decision is established
3)This will improve your will power and also your self esteem that you are capable of doing what you decide
4)For lack of direction you have to read books written by people who have thought over matters concerning life. think it over and come too your own conclusions, nobody can give direction to your life except you.
5)I inability to relate to people is due to selfishness and lack of interest in the well being of others
6)Develop a positive attitudes to life and people, try to help others if not by money at least by words and surrender to the will of God{whatever name you may call him]-that is the secret of improving the low spirits
7)Take action immediately on matters which you consider correct and proper but postpone action on matters you consider not good either for yourself or for others
Best of Luck

You’ll probably eventually realize your not getting any where in life because of this behavior and life will pass you by with no doubt. Take it upon yourself to get some help and you want to do that ASAP because life itself is too short to be unhappy!!!!!!!!!

You seem to have answered your own question. However, developing a passion for something you FEEL STRONGLY about, is the best way to alleviate procrastination.

By overcoming your fear of failure or mediocrity, and by forcing yourself to take chances, you can overcome procrastination.

I too struggle with this and have found that if I make a list of 5 things to do, and just force myself to get up and do them. And then make another list, and do them. By the end of the day – I have actually accomplished something.
Most of the time, I realize that the things I sit on my couch procrastinating about for hours – burns up more energy then actually getting up and doing it, so I just try not to allow myself to burn energy foolishly with just sitting around doing nothing. You know?
